Mahmood Samy Naib

Mr. Naib has over 30 years of experience in the investment industry in North America, Europe, Asia and MENA regions. Since graduating from U.C. Berkeley in 1990, Mr. Naib has worked with leading international and regional firms in servicing leading blue-chip clients like Citigroup, Bank of America, Industrial Commercial Bank of China, Dubai International Financial Centre and others on their real-estate development portfolios. 

In the past 14 years, in his roles as a Chief Development Officer at Abu Dhabi Investment House and Managing Director of Mena Gulf Investments, he has led the initiative to expand development funds beyond the traditional sectors and has successfully diversified key funds geographically. Also, he has been instrumental, over the years, in instituting multi-disciplinary tracking systems to achieve investment fund’s expected returns, meet agreed exit deadlines, keep track of ESG and systematically measure funds social impact. 

Mr. Naib has served, since 2007, as an advisor to many regional and national governments on their sovereign development funds. He has also served on advisory boards and board of directors of a number of companies in the GCC, Europe and North America.
